Oso Elder Nominations
It’s that time of year when we as a church family can nominate individuals for the leadership role of Elder. The term for these new elders will begin in January 2025.
A person must receive at least 2 nominations to be considered. Nominees will then be screened for qualifications, have a short interview period, and then voted on by the current sitting elder board. They will then be presented to the congregation.
Paid Church Staff AND spouses of paid church staff are not eligible to be nominated. Jeff Priour & JC Reyes’ terms are expiring and are ineligible for nominations.
Each person can nominate multiple individuals by EMAILING your nominations to Osocreekchurch@gmail.com from a personal email address (type your name at the bottom of your email to act as your signature).

Elder Requirements & Responsibilities
For Oso Creek Elders, An Elder must:
(1) Be faithful in tithing, investing financially in the Lord’s Kingdom work
(2) Be active in the church by serving in some capacity or ministryfurthering the Kingdom work of this local church
(3) Be an active & committed member of an Oso Creek Life Group
(4) Be a committed member of Oso Creek Church, having signed the membership covenant, for a minimum of 1 year
The duties and responsibilities of an Oso Creek Church elder is one of leadership, accountability, and financial responsibility. The elders meet regularly to pray, discuss the financial aspect of the church, expense benevolent funds, plan and strategize with the pastor, and help Oso Creek’s mission and vision continue on point.
The elders set the annual budget and review it monthly. They serve as a help to the church, a help to the staff/ministries, a help to the pastor, and provide a spiritual presence for the members of Oso Creek Church. They are to be approachable and accessible by anyone in the church.
