Oso Creek Church is committed to sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ, in Corpus Christi, and around the world. Below are the mission efforts that we partner with. For more information about getting involved with missions contact Rachel Wranosky or see our events page for any upcoming opportunities.

Mission Partners

Ecuador Missions
& Pastor Yulier

Oso Creek Church regularly goes to the jungles of Ecuador. While there our teams spend time holding medical clinics in the local Misahualli villages, put on a VBS program in the town of Yaruqui, and have helped local Missionary Yulier Licea plant churches in several villages. Oso Creek financially supports Pastor Yulier all year round, including his food distribution ministry.

Nate Rubright -
College Ministry in Boston

Nate Rubright is a former Creeker who was called to full-time college ministry in 2016. He and his wife started Bread Coffeehouse, a hospitality ministry for students in Boston. Now a part of Sojourn Collegiate Ministry, Nate continues his work with students from Tufts and Lesley Universities under the combined campus name Sojourn Somerville. He is passionate about students who are far from God as well as how communities can make a lasting impact when they experience the love of Jesus. In his spare time Nate loves long distance running, eating sandwiches, and talking about hockey.

The Roseland Family -
Orphanos

The Roseland family is devoted to ministering to missionaries that work directly with orphans and vulnerable children. They have been with Orphanos since 2006, serving in Mexico and Ecuador for 10 years and currently ministering from Memphis, TN. Ximena works in the Orphanos office and Richard serves the local foster community. Their current ministry affects over 25,000 orphans.

Agape Ranch

Agape Ranch was born at Oso Creek and is dedicated to providing high-quality adoption and foster care in South Texas through the areas of prevention, foster care, adoption, and aged-out youth,

Agape Ranch provides care and guidance to foster children and families in South Texas, including the homes at The Ranch, services through Programs & Events, and other support for Foster & Adoptive Families, such as bed builds, respite care, Christmas store and more. In addition to Oso’s monthly support there are many volunteer opportunities throughout the year.

Camp Zephyr

Camp Zephyr is a Christian Camp & Conference Center located in South Texas and founded in 1957. The goal of Camp Zephyr is to provide an environment that encourages development in spiritual, intellectual, emotional, social, and physical areas, with the constant desire is that each person who comes through the gates will feel the love of Christ.

Camp Zephyr has no debt and operates independently on revenue generated from guests' use of the facilities. Other donations, such as our church’s partnership, allow Zephyr to keep the cost of camp affordable while providing a quality camp experience.

Oso Creek attends Kids & Students camps in the summer, as well as various retreat through out the year.

BSM & Cody Conroy

The BSM engages college students, at TAMUCC & Del Mar, to follow Jesus Christ and transform the world. They host a weekly dinner and worship night (meeting at Oso Creek Church), free lunches and devotionals on campus, widely attended by nonbelieving students, international student outreaches and more.

Cody Conroy has been involved with the BSM since 2018 when he served as a missionary to orphans in South Africa for 2 years, through GoNow Missions. In January of 2022 Cody moved down to Corpus Christi to marry his wife Haley Conroy and begin working for the BSM. Cody has a deep desire to see college students grow in their zeal for the Lord.

Church Without Walls

Pastor Rey Escalante and his family host a Sunday service and meal every week for the homeless and working poor. Their congregation meets in Flour Bluff. Different churches provide the food each week; Oso services quarterly. This is a great outreach for families and lifegroups to take part in, both by providing and serving food, and by having conversations and worshiping together with the attendees.
Church without Walls also hosts a weekly food pantry.

Roselands - Belize

Dino Roseland and his family moved to Belize in 2011 and started Samuel’s Sanctuary, a farm with goats, chickens and facilities to host staff, teams and other ministry opportunities. In May 2014, God also provided a 45 acre dairy farm, now called The Country Barn, with a storefront that serves almost 4,000 people from around the world each month.

They minister to the local village, including a primary school with almost 400 children and help support other ministries in Belize as God is miraculously fulfilling the vision He has placed in their heart.

Mission Trips

In addition to supporting our mission partners financially and with prayer, Oso Creek Church is On Mission by going on mission trips!
Each year, we go to Ecuador twice.
Oso Students have gone to Harlingen, Texas each summer beginning in 2023.
A few Creekers have visited Samuel’s Sanctuary in Belize over the years, and we hope to have a team going regularly in the future.
An Oso team is planning to London in Summer 2025 for London Bridges outreach to Arabic speaking Muslims. Find out more and apply to be a part of London Bridges here.
