We all find ourselves living in emptiness in various ways. The definition of empty is, ‘not filled and not occupied’. That truly describes the majority of humanity. We long to be filled but often find ourselves empty. Jesus emptied Himself by coming to the earth, taking on flesh, and dying on a Cross. That Cross led Him to the tomb where His body laid. Christ emptied Himself and filled the tomb. Three days later, Christ walked out of the tomb. He left the tomb empty so that we could live lives that are filled and occupied by Him.

This morning we continue our series we are calling: 7 Letters to 7 Churches. Today we are in Revelation 2:12-17 and the church of Pergamum. This church was doing great standing for the name of Christ in a city was the very seat of idolatry and worldliness, YET there were some who began to follow false teaching and that false teaching led to disobedience and compromise from some in the church. We have a calling to remain pure in the Word of God, pure relationally, and pure spiritually and not compromise with the world which is idolatry.
7. May 1, 2022 | Seven Letters To Seven Churches | Revelation 2:18-29 (Thyatira)

This week we continue our series on the Book of Revelation by talking about the compromising church of Thyatira. This church allowed a false teacher to infiltrate their walls and lead them astray. This is a difficult message regarding how there are churches today that are much like Thyatira: comprising God’s Word in order to be accepted by the world. Our call is to hold fast to sound doctrine and pursue Biblical purity in doctrine, in the Word, and in our lifestyles.
