A solar eclipse will be happening in the USA on Monday, April 8 around 1:30pm during our regular scheduled MDO classes. As a Monday/Wednesday program, we take off Thanksgiving, Christmas break, Spring break and one other Monday holiday each semester. Currently we have classes scheduled on April 8 and our spring Monday holiday is Easter Monday, April 1. Area schools are holding classes on April 8. In Corpus Christi, we will be able to see a particle eclipse, however if we drive about 3 hours we will be able to see a total eclipse, which I’ve heard is an amazing event.

I am polling teachers and students about their planned attendance that day to help inform my decision if we should cancel classes on that day or not. Thank you!
