Pastor’s Corner

Good morning Creekers!!! I am so glad that you chose to worship at Oso this morning whether that is in-person or online. What an amazing service we had last week for Mother’s Day. I appreciate Meghan Isaacs speaking a much needed message for many (me included). I simply love the fact that God uses our mistakes & failures FOR HIS purposes and for His glory. I’m thankful that Jesus lived the perfect life because I will never be perfect, YET I strive to be like Jesus more and more. Growing up, I used to put so much spiritual pressure on myself to live like a “perfect Christian’, it led to some pretty harsh, judgmental attitudes (which is what I’m talking about today in my message), caused me to become “spiritually ocd”. The worst part was that I began to put the focus more on what I was doing, or could do, or should do INSTEAD of what Christ already DID!!! I finally went through a pretty tough season, but I began to understand grace as God brought me out of it and I could understand the essence of Meghan’s message last week:: it’s ok to fail :) As long as I’m striving to be like Christ, living by His Word, allowing His Spirit to change my heart & move in my life: GOD’S GOT THIS & I’M NOT GOING TO MESS UP HIS PLAN. PRAISE THE LORD!!! Her message is on our Youtube, FB pages, & Oso Creek Church podcast (Spotify/Apple Music/iHeart Radio) & will soon be uploaded to our website. I encourage you to go back & watch/listen if you haven’t. Share it with someone that would be encouraged by it.

Today’s message is a difficult one to speak because the subject has been twisted & thrown around in believer’s faces for some time now. The very usage of the term has been changed to mean something that it was never meant to say…..it’s actually being used now as an ‘excuse’ for unBiblical thoughts, teachings, attitudes, behaviors, and even lifestyles. I pray that we are all encouraged by the message this morning on “The Bible Doesn’t Say That: You Can’t Judge Me or My Lifestyle”
Blessings Church Family,

Pastor Greg
