On Mission Team
Matthew 9:37-38: Then Jesus said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.  Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out the workers into his harvest field.”
Isaiah 6:8: Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send?  And who will go for us?”  And I said, “Here am I.  Send me!”

The On Missions Team exists to provide opportunities for Creekers to be on mission in our community and around the world.  We partner with local organizations and oversees missionaries to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of our community.

Current On Mission Partnerships:

Ecuador, Richard and Ximena Roseland  Roselands

The Roselands are Creekers who answered God’s call to work with the orphans in Ecuador.  Majority of their work is in Quito, Ecuador.  This past year Oso Creek sent a team to lead VBS in the community around Montebello and child relationship between the community and school that Richard and Ximena work with.  Creekers also helped the Roselands complete construction on “God’s Room”.  This was a missional housing project for hosting foster children, interns, and missionary groups.

BridgeKidz After School Program  Handing out Backpacks

For the past three school years, Creekers have served as volunteers at BridgeKidz After School Program.  This after school program provides discipleship and intentional care for students that are in the highest at risk neighborhood and schools in the City of Corpus.  Creekers also hold a backpack drive to provide 100 backpacks and school supplies every year for students of Gibson Elementary.  For more information, contact Pam Isbell E-mail: pamisbell@yahoo.com.

The Villa Assisted Living Community

Men’s Ministry hosts a monthly Bible study for the residents.  Every other Thursday morning, one of our pastors leads a Bible study and Ryan Smith leads in worship.  In addition, Creeker families participate in monthly Saturday events at the Villa.  Events include BINGO and other games, singing, crafts, coffee, sweet treats, and spending time with the residents.  For more information, contact Rachel Wranosky.  E-mail: racheldw76@hotmail.com.

Do you have an On Mission opportunity that you would like the On Missions Team to consider?  Here are some guidelines:
Our primary desire to is to share the Good News of Jesus Christ in all that we do.  We will partner with organizations or events that allow us to share the hope of Jesus with those that we serve.  We will share the Good News with compassion, love, and gentleness.  We want to establish long-term relationships with those in our community and around the world.  We very much prefer serving opportunities that allow us to establish an on-going relationship.
