The Youth meet every Wednesday evening 6:00-8:00PM.
The Youth ministry at Fellowship of Oso Creek is about empowering our community of young people to be themselves as they grow in Christ and participate in ministry and mission with each other as part of the body of Christ. We have fun activities, great people, and equip the youth to be better prepared for the issues they will face. By studying the Bible, the youth learn to think critically about what they can learn about God and His relevance to their lives.
Through conversations and teaching highly relevant to youth, we:
Focus on Christ – Everything thing that we do should be focused on Christ. Jesus said the greatest commandment is to “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” The Youth are learning how to rely on Christ in their daily lives while at home, school, or at work.
Focus on Community –The Wednesday night meetings are part of the Life Group structure. The Youth realize they are a part of the body of Christ here at Oso Creek and we strive to involve Youth in Church as a whole. Just as Jesus prayed for unity among believers in John 17: 20-21, we also strive for this unity through the development of a close community of believers.
Focus on Mission – The youth are encouraged and given opportunities to go on mission. Whether it be feeding the homeless, bingo with the elderly, or going on mission in their schools, it is stressed upon them the importance of sharing the love of Christ with those around them. In Mark 16:15 Jesus said to go into all of the world and Preach the Gospel to every creature.
Focus on Change – The purpose of Church has always been change. We are called to look more like Christ on a daily basis and to challenge each other in our spiritual growth. The Youth are given the vision that God has called each of us to be part of his plan to change the world around us for the Kingdom of Jesus Christ.
